Spotted gum flooring job to do

I have bought some spotted gum 90mm flooring and need some finer details of putting it down. I have been reading lots of posts and AS AS2796.1 and there is no mention of "classic" grade is it in AS2796.2?

I am going to secret nail directly on the joist, is it worth buying a nail "thingy" to do this? I think they are about ~$130 bucks, vs using a pasloe nail gun? Would the ribbed 2.85mm deck nail be used or do I need the bradder? If they can be used, does the nail goes through the top cnr section of the tongue at 45 deg?:?

If the pasloe can be used is there an issue with the nail head or the timber splitting?

Can we get a sticky on flooring as there are a number of good posts on how to including sanding. :D
