Remote switches for Rangehood operation

Hi Guys,

Went looking at rangehoods on the weekend and liked the QASAIR in cupboard mounted ones. However they use very "industrial" looking switches and they are mounted under the hood; that is fine for my small wife but i am over 6" and do alot of the cooking.
Looking at the UV 1000-2
L1000mmxD430mm twin motor (covering a 900mm ILVE)
1350cm/ph One motor running & 1800 cm/ph second motor running

Has anyone remote mounted switches before?

Trying to decide between wall or bench mounting?
I like the functionality of bench mount but think the wall mount would be better for cleaning :?

Anyone know somewhere that does some nice switches?
I was thinking i might approach ILVE so i can have them matching the oven switches.

Any advice appreciated.
