roof trusess question

ok we are up to our roof trusess but it says we need 900 spacings which we have 2x4 wood for bracings but also we have 600 metal bars for bracing but im obviously missing something as the gap is 900 how can you put the 600 metal on.? im going to have to ring the frame company but thought id ask 1st so i dont look too blonde lol
