Paint colour affecting TV reception?

Hi Guys,

One of my mates reckons not to paint your roof white as it messes with your TV reception; said he saw it happen on another of his mates houses.

I was wanting to paint mine a light colour to tone down the heat but am unsure now.

Anyone heard of or seen this happen; or do i need to give him some toilet paper to wipe his mouth?
