Hey mate...its a coffee table/games table. When its a coffee table its a very basic and simplistic shape, but when you lift and flip the table top a chess and backgammon board is built into the underside of the table top. Inside the table top (as the lid lifts up) all the games and pieces are stored in here.Quote:

Have you chosen the timbers to be used? Will the games boards be inlaid? Are you to create the chess/backgammon pieces? We will be pleased to see any photo's you might post.Quote:

The main timber that i am going to be using is Meranti Maple at this stage. Originally i was going to be using Western Red Cedar but due to the costing it downgraded to the Maple which is relatively cheaper. Yes the gameboards are going to be inlaid and for the odd square and spike for the boards, i'll be using a darker/light Maple of pine - not quiet sure yet.
