Simple question - for most.

Hi,

Ive done a bit of a search but cant find the answer to this simple question. Im replacing the old verandah out the front of my house. It is a double fronted victorian cottage with the old concave style verandah out the front. The old one was simply nailed together. I would prefer the aesthetics of not using bolts (in keeping with the old design) so I am wondering what the pros and cons of using nails, screws or bolts might be...I do have access to a framing gun with galv nails which would make life a lot easier.
