Outside Decking

Can someone please offer some help. We have alot of decking around our house. It's made of hardwood. We have recently sanded it back and oiled it. Being so dry, the oil has soaked in and now it looks dry and colourless again. Is there anything we can use to get that "wet" look with a deep rich colour? It also scratches easily too. I need the help of people like you as the ones in the shops sometimes don't really know all that much if you know what I mean. I work in real estate so often see decks which look beautiful and wondered how they get it to look so good.
