Just wanted to say G'day to you all.
It was this site and this forum thats helping me with my first ever riflestock project.
I will be asking questions.
Didn't want to be rude and ask with-out introducing myself.
Thanks All

Welcome Gate7:2tsup:
does the rest of the rifle go along with that stock your making???
Hi Ed,
To me just sanding a piece of timber is a project...lol
I just bought a SAKO L579 made back in '65 , being such an old rifle i've decided to pull it apart and give it a make over. At the moment i've almost finished removing the existing varnish on it using a varnish stripper, don't want to sandpaper anything yet. i'll post some pics up and any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Gate7
