Outdoor Lighting

I had a powerpoint installed outside next to a pond pump a while back. The wire goes from a switch in thehouse through some conduit so I can also turn the switch off and on from inside.

I want to run some external gardenbed lighting nearby and was wondering whether a sparky could use the existing wires that go outside? Can he run something from the power that is there to the lighting?
