Setting out profile boards

I need to get a start on my house and am considering setting out the floor profile hurdles myself. see example below which is similar to my land but no excavation is going to take place.

My question is to anyone is

1. Is it difficult to do ?
2. How long would it take for a chippe to do the example above ?
3 What is the main reason for it?

and am on 3 acres and not a house around on me.
