Multimeter recommendation

I am looking for a good multimeter for my brother who has just started an apprentiship to become an electrician.

Wondering if any electricians here have any recommendations on what to look for or get. Want to get something good that would do the job for many years to come, but don't want to be spending in the $600+ bracket that I can see many professional kits going for.

I have a $60 meter at home and it seems to do the trick for me, but was looking for something a little better for my bro. Perhaps something around the $150-$200 range? Is that enough?
