It is evident that 'prozac' knows everything about everything and is the self appointed protector of everyone's sensibitities.
The wording of my for sale notice was intended to deter idiotic responses such as 'prozac's', but clearly failed to break through what appears to be a very dense vault.
I suggest 'prozac' read 'col's' note and consider the value of his wisdom. 'Col' has clearly, been there and done that - and learned from the experience.
'Prozac' has yet to learn the value of quitting when beaten.
He/she just loves to see his/her opinions in print.
'Robyn' how distressing that you found my wording to be rude!
I refer you also, to 'col's' note above. Furthermore, your ill considered comments suggest that one's right to be definitive is determined by the number of posts lodged on this forum.
Is that really the situation? (Retorical - please do not respond)
Finally, to satisfy the curious.
I bought the lathe and accessories for $650.00.
It has now been sold for the asking price, without any haggling, by someone who was not offended by my words. (9.30 a.m.)
Proving that, something for sale is worth what someone else will pay for it. (Regardless of the asking price.)
I have been an avid reader of Posts and Threads on this forum since joining and over time have formed the opinion that some of the writers would do well to be less critical and mind their own business unless they have something constructive to contribute.
