Shipping container for studio

I'm looking to build a studio in our back yard (which backs on to a reserve) so I can get away to do some writing. There's plenty of space on my land, probably about 1000m2 with nothing much on it. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with converting shipping containers to usable rooms - specifically in the area of approvals (I'm in the ACT). There are a number of demountables that have already been converted available in NSW etc, but I'm not sure what the ACT government requires...
