Hi all, just wondering your thoughts on the merits of using Unities instead of joist straps? I'm looking to build a deck which (for height reasons) will have 190x45 joists sitting on top of 190x45 bearers (all TP). Don't know why, but the joist straps just strike me as being a bit "flimsy" in comparison when the joist is quite thick. Am I wasting money (and time) with the Unities, or are they worth it for this joist size.
