We have a new beech window in the kitchen. We like the wood look, not painted. We tried to finish it with a staining lacquer but it all chipped off. Nothing seems to sink into this tight grain. Is oiling the way to go? We took all the old laquer off with a chemical stripper and sanding. What do we do with it now?
