Cathedral ridgebeam support

Hi guys,
long time looker first time poster. Does anyone know how to support a ridge beam at the gable end of a cathedral roof ? I am coming from a traditional roof to cathedral, which i imagine i can fishplate together, but does the other end of the ridgebeam need supporting?
Someone has suggested a 90mm RHS running inside the wall and the framing can be built around it. You wont see it because it's covered by plasterboard. Oh and this is on a 2 storey house!

90mm RHS would probably work but you'll need to consult an engineer for wall thickness and fastening details for top and bottom connections.

My engineer specified RHS for the gable end. Then I attached 90 x 45 to each side so that I could connect the frame work and covered in plaster as you suggested.

depends on whether its a loadbearing ridge or not.
