A slim chance, but worth a try ...
In June of this year I will have completed a 1 year course in Fine Furniture and Cabinetmaking (http://finefurnituremaker.com/) and will be looking to further my knowledge and skills in the field.
Unfortunately the course does not give any recognised qualifications at the end, only a certificate of completion. :(
The question is (I probably already know the answer), does anyone know if I would have any chance of getting a position in Australia as an apprentice or similar without the usual desired qualifications?
My other options are to stay here in the UK for a few more years gathering experience before trying Australia (or are the papers the be-all and end-all?), or heading off to NZ (my partner is from there) and doing building work for my partner's brother-in-law a few days a week to earn some money, while making furniture the rest of the week to try and sell.
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
