On holidays at Gold Coast recently I saw a prize home that had push-button light switches with an integrated led that illuminated when the switch was turned on. The whole switch was a white plastic slimline unit, similar in look to this clipsal unit http://www.clipsal.com.au/consumer/p...timer_switches Do any sparkies out there know who manufactures this sort of switch? I don't think they were microprocessor control/timer switches as they were used throughout the house.

It was more than likely clipsal c-bus. Each switch is connected to a central controller, and it allows you to change the function of each switch using software.Quote:

It is quite a powerful home automation system. I have only connected into it using other systems, so do not know what a complete c-bus system would cost.

they look like the switches in the meeting rooms around where I last worked.
They were tied in to motion sensors, so when everyone left the room, if the lights weren't switched off, they switched themselves off.
Might be a useful thing to do in a show home??

Thanks for the replies folks, I have searched the online catalogues and it looks like they may well be either cbus controllers or timer switches (as per my link above).

BTW.....A CBUS system doesnt require a central controller .....Although there now is a smart controller available for CBUS called a PAC........
