bearer size-material

ok thats it ive searched 20+ pages and still cant find what im looking for.ok i have f7 100x100 treated pine stumps 1mtr deep with 450 above now i need to know what size bearers to use and what strenght or rating they need to be.its a hardiplex cladded house with tin roof bearer spacing is 1.8mt max will be using f7 90x45 treated pine joists at 450 intervals.i need to know this so i can get accurate quotes as all the tradies ive rang suggest different things so i want to know what i need so i can tell tradies exactly want i want quoted on i want to use treated pine due to costs and ease of use plz help if you can thx shelley:)

bearer sizing is available in span tables but if you really want fair dinkum quotes get your plans drawn up first. Otherwise most contractors will treat you as a "window shopper" whos most probably going to waste their time.

thanks mick ive got aust standards but cant find bearer sizes just spacings.plans are on their way i just wanted to print out material lists as i have to have a final figure for bsa

The bearer sizes, should be the first column on the left, as all the spans depend on them.

It also depends on whether the bearers will be supporting walls, etc. Or are they on seperate founds?

all exterior walls will be load bearing and using stumps for foundation

non loadbearing 1800 spacing - 2/90*35 f7 spans 1300 single & 1500 continuous.
loadbearing span depends upon the roof load width.

I used 90 x 65 LVL bearers, which is equivalent to 100 x 75 hardwood, and 90 x 45 LVL joists. The max spacing was 1800 in either direction.

The LVL's were treated for termite resistance. They were marginally more expensive but were long lengths and dead straight and quite light in weight unlike hardwood.

I would recommend them to anyone.
