I have an old house circa 1920s which has a hardwood frame.
The corner posts of the house's frame are made from 75x95mm hardwood.
I am in the process of moving an existing post (which supports the ceiling and skillion roof over the lounge room) so the room will sqaure rather than L-shaped like shown below.
What is the modern day equivalent of these old hardwood posts? e.g. with structural pine ?

blak, stud sizes and stress grades are determined from the height of the stud, spacing of the studs & the roof load on the wall.

The stud post will be ~3m in height.
Supports a gyprock ceiling and schillion galvanised iron roof. Roof area is approx 5mx5m

A single 90*45 mgp10 pine stud - in conjunction with other studs at 450 centres - will carry the roof load you've described.
