Frame for linen cupboard

Hi all

Im building a linen cupboard into the corner of a room of my house.
The interior walls are 10ft (3m) high.

Where Im building out the wall for the cupboard, should I make the studs 10ft also, or should I make two 5ft frames and bolt them together ? What guage timber should I use for the studs and framing ?

I'm no expert, but I'd be inclined to use full length studs of 70 x 35 framing pine.
