hi, i have a question about building garage walls under my house? im unsure as to what to do for ant capping as per my picture attached. i know how to do it if a wall is built on the edge of a slab but what about when a wall is in from the edge like my situation????? any help is much apreciated.

you may not need any because of the exposed concrete edge.
or you could use homegaurd or Kordon plastic.
Homegaurd is thinner so your probably best bet.

Thinking aloud, the ant cap layer serves to force any invading termites to take an exposed route (instead of within timber or cracks in concrete) therefore the location you noted ("what goes here") looks fine.
Actually, a damp proof membrane (thin black rubber/plastic sheeting you can buy in rolls from Bunnings, etc) would be good in that location and can serve both functions - damp & ant cap).
An alternative may be to have an extra structural member - perhaps a run of treated pine or a layer of bricks - below your bottom wall plate, and have your ant cap/damp proofing on top of that and below the bottom wall plate.
No need for ant cap. If the concrete is exposed on both sides and you can inspect it (the space is greater than 400mm high) then you have no problems. Otherwise have a professional install Kordon under the wall.
If the timber wall is sitting on a flat slab the rain or water will rot the bottom plate. I would lay a course of bricks under the plate then you can lay damp course and ant capping on it.
