R410a gas

Just wanted to check if i need a license here in Aus to purchase R410a gas, dont need one in the states?

AFAIK you need a license to buy any refrigerant gas in Australia, newish regs that came in about a year or two ago.

im suprised you dont need one in usa...i thought it was required over there too....
