bad luck comes in threes

well as some you may no im making a new centre console for my car out of fibre glass, so anyways yesterday while i was making the wooden frame for my console i was nailing to piece of 19mm pine together stupidly with 50mm nails in my nail gun so there was 12mm of the nail sticking out the back then i was holding a fidly bit together and didnt realise my finger was right were the nail would come out the other side and straight into my finger and it hurt like hell lol then later in the evening i went out to bring my car in and on the way threw the garage in bare feet (stupid i know) there was a pice of wood 19mm with a 50mm nail in sticking out on the fool and i stood on it didnt i not happy jan, anywas not realising it was still in my foot i thort it just stood on a lil offcut i saw the piece of wood stiting flush to the sle of my foot and i thort how the hell is that on there with out falling aff then when i went to pull it off i hurtr like hell and i realised i had "nailed" it to my foot lol 31mm of nial in my heel oucheeeee then once i pulled it out i hobled over to my car to mave it in and would you belive it ifor got to turn off the radio so i had a flat battery! how unlucky is that all i was trying t do was t make i look a lil prettier and this is the price i have t pay lol well thats my rant for the week

I agree that the battery was unlucky/silly, but without intending insult I think the nail business is stupidity. That said, I'm sure valuable safety lessons were learned here, were they not?

Here's hoping you're a little more careful with the nail gun in future.


Funny really, just last week I was helping by brother in-law unpack some crates of funiture and noticed he was wearing thongs (hot day). I warned him that they wouldn't protect him from nails or dropped furniture, but he ignored the warning. He later stood on a rather rusty looking nail sticky out of the crates remains and promptly borrowed his brothers saftey boots.

Only through my own experience have I learned the same sorts of lessons, I hope you take the lesson seriously or you might loose something next time.

lol thanks kman sure did take it seriously! safety boots in work shop all the time even if your not actually workin and use clamps instead of your fingers
