Cedar Finish
Hi All,
I am looking for a durable finish for a cedar mirror that is going into the bathroom. I was all set to use the U-Bueat Shellawax due to it's good reviews on these forums but when I started researching a bit more it isn't suitable for damp areas. :(
I would appreciate any advice about what works well and is durable.
Thanks in advance
Anthony

I will let Neil fill you in on shellawax etc.
Personally I would use an a/c lacquer for this environment or poly-u but it all depends on what and how you can apply your finish's. Look into marine finish's or call into your local friendly paint (or preferably automotive re-finisher supply) supply place and have a chat to them about what they can offer for your skills and application.

Thanks for your reply Shane. The local paint shop suggested Estapol and that was about it.
I have played about with some Organoil on some cedar and I am quite happy with the finish it gives. Would it be suitable for damp areas?
Cheers

Try your local automotive refinishing supply place. they usually know more than painters especially when it comes to this sort of thing.
Estapol is usless, like internal mitred skirting joints! :D MWahahaha....! thats a sight gag...
