no its trying to stop global warming see here
PS. its a bit of fun:U:U
Shiver me Timbers.....heard about it on ABC this morning they interviewed The pirate off the wiggles some silly phart wth a feather :o as a sword no wonder kids get the wrong impressions.
Look here come the pirates they are going to tickle me to death birng back Cpt Hook, Long John Silver, Peg Leg Pete.
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum, shiver me timbers and sink me sideways me hearties. Up the Jolly Roger
Aarrrgh, that brings a tear to me one good eye. It's nice to be appreciated ocassionally. Speaking of one good eye, did i tell ye the story of my missing body parts?
Well i got the peg leg from a furious cutlass fight with another pirate. Sliced me leg clean off he did. And the hook was the outcome of a battle with a man eating shark. Lucky to get away with just the loss of a hand.
I lost the eye, hence the patch, when i looked up at the rigging and a seagull crapped and hit me right in the eye. Now you may be thinking to yourself that a seagull depositing a small package on the eye shouldn't cause enough damage to lose the eye...........but, well you see, it was my first day with the hook....aarrrgh.
And that reminds me that to err is human but to garrrrrrggghhh is pirate
The sun has been over the yard arm for..... le meshee, four rums..... now... aaargh, aarrrgghhh..... make that five....... etc
Got busy and missed it, Pugwash will be happy, Roger the cabin boy seaman staines.
I believe very few survived, lterally torn to shreds by the barnacles.
It was abolished by the British Navy in the mid 1800's I think, but a lot of captains were a law unto themselves and continued the practise anyway.
Bit like corporal punishment, the Navy imposed a maximum of 12 strokes but the captain would order multiple consectutive punishments.
I shall leave you to describe keelhauling to the masses, I imagine it would be worse on a bigger boat/ship and have no idea how long it would take from bow to stern.
Well, me hearties, I wear a patch at work every day.
and say arrrgghh and shiver me timbers all the time.
