Finally getting to wiring my shed up properly with sub-board and plenty of circuits. My electrician mate has been over to advise what i need and he will be doing all the final connections and checking etc. However, I will be running the main cable from the current power box, to the shed. 10mm was recommended... what does this go for roughly per metre these days???
Depending on the distance from the box to the shed, it may be more suitable for you to buy a drum. You can enquire about prices at any electrical retailer or Bunnings will give you a per mtr. price. I'm not sure about Queensland but here in Vic i go to AWM electrical but you could always use L&H or Middys. Also if your running underground remember 500mm deep and concrete over the top of your orange conduits. Don't forget to add it to your switchboard's property wiring diagram.
Dont know if this is too late or not, but I recently paid $6.60 p/m for 16mm mains cable.

If it isnt to late use 16mm2 it normally isnt to much more expensive as that is what is now more often used....

Well I got it for about $5.20 per metre for 10mm (two core + earth). Probably not the best price, but far from the worst I was quoted!
