External Cladding

Got some quotes for some extensions and one builder wants to use fingerjointed pine and the other wants to use weathertex for the external cladding.

I have seen weathertex on display but not the pine. They will roughly matched the weatherboard profile fibro on the existing.

Is anyone familar with these products and their virtues?
