I noticed in the recent Council collection that many people throw out 70's-vintage venetian blinds and curtain tracks. If you look closely you'll find that these curtain tracks can be recycled easily for t-track on a router table, workbench, fences etc. And it's all free.
Roadside orphans are a great source for lots of stuff. I've collected timber, bent tubing (no way I could duplicate such finesse; just cut off and use the part I need); even toolboxes, a perfectly good chain saw, and of all things a concrete mixer which only needed minimal repairs.
People may think I'm weird, but most of them already thought so anyway.:rolleyes:

City. Capital of Florida. Population about 200,000 I think. Native American name, reputed to mean "tribal town," but also claimed to mean "Allah will deliver you in the future." I don't know how that came about. Seems to be a theory that Arabs visited America about 900AD and influenced locals.

Just been looking it up on Google earth:doh: Should've remembered that although down here we'd be forgiven for thinking Miami was the capitol or is that Vice:wink: Arabs eh mmmm...... could play with that.

The track I found is symetrical in cross section. Although I've tossed the end-pieces, I recall that plastic gutter-grippers were screwed to brackets and it looked liek a curtain track. I'll take a photo tonight for show-and-tell.

I had a stuff up with my drawing, in that the profile buggered up and made it look as though it was not flush at the top. I've attached the correct end view below.
For some reason I had it almost inside out and Frack the Bunt.......must get more sleep!
