A Kiwi in Oz
A Kiwi goes into a fish & chip shop in Sydney. Sez to the shopkeeper, " I'll have some fush and chups please". Shopkeeper sez, "youre a Kiwi, aren't you"? Kiwi sez, "how do you know?" It's the way you talk, you all say fush and chups instead of fish and chips" explains the shopkeeper.
Kiwi decides he needs some elocution lessons to speak more propperer. Sick of being picked as a South Seas Pom.
After 6 months of constant practice, he has it off perfect. Goes back to the shop and sez to the shopkeeper, "I'll have some fish and chips, please" - in perfect Oz English. Shopkeeper sez, "your a Kiwi, aren't you?" "How the hell did you know", sez the amazed Kiwi.
Shopkeeper sez, "this has been a hardware shop for 3 months!"

You guys! We are a proud but poor country.... a dog died on the main street today..... some battered (not as in fush) men in black wandered back through customs and immigration yesserdee....:C :C
