What is the difference between "Inverter" airconditioners and "Scroll Low Inertia" airconditioners? Are they one of the same? Is it just a play on words?
Thanks in advance.

Hi rod
A little plug - Hubby is Action Airconditioning - Perth.
I will ask him when he gets home

Hi rod
A scroll low inertia is the type of compressor that is in an Inverter system.
Same thing

Thanks for that Celeste.
Now I'm building my house (currently at lock-up stage) and I need an expert to tell me what I need to do for airconditioning (reverse cycle) of it. Friends say (no experts) say ducted but I'm not convinced that ducted is the most efficient/ecomonical way to go.
Would Hubby be interested in providing some advice at this stage? If so then I can be contacted on 042 970 9177.
Cheers Rod
Hi Rod
I will pass your no. onto Hubby.
By the way we built 2 years ago and have a combination of ducted ( kids 3 rooms, theatre, craft room (mine) and study (hubbies) and splits - mainbed and kitchen/lounge.
This is due to size of the units and the use - it better to put the split on in the kitchen/lounge if I am home alone than the big ducted system and hubby like the aircon on all night just about - but the kids do not need this etc.
