Yes they are still around although we havent heard anything about them latley, maybe because the battle to control them is not being won.
I must try aspartame on my lawn.

Hopefully we will keep on top of them and control them. I don't think we will ever wipe them out permantly but it would be a good thing. Fire ants are that bad in places through out the US that parks and yards can no longer be used. It would be good though if the fire ant and cane toad toad could wipe each other out, but i don't think that's gonna happen some:fingerscrossed: time soon.
