installing a moulded shower

Hi All,
I'm really going to sound a bit dippy, but I don't mind. My husband and I are wanting to replace an existing moulded shower base etc with a fully moulded shower. We have removed the old shower base. Do we remove the old slurry base? What is the best way to remove it?
