Country Cottage Girl... Needs friendship & faith

My dearest husband & woodworking partner passed away on 24th August from a brain tumour. I nursed Eddie for 4 months it was soul destroying for us, we were so much in love with each other & our woodwork....
I will need to ask many more questions about some of the tools soon, but keeping myself busy re-arranging & cleaning out shed....I have to know exactly what's in there now...
Dont forget to tell your loved ones how you feel, we never know whats around the corner...God Bless, keep working with wood, there are no strangers in woodwork, only folk we havent met yet!

This Forum seems to be well populated by people ofa giving nature. I am sure you will be amongst friends every time you are here.

I lost a good friend to a brain tumour 3 months ago. The last few months were so hard for him, locked in and frustrated by his inability to communicate. They were as hard, if not more, for his wife because of her love for him and seeing what was happening.

Her sense of loss has been profound, as it must be for you.
Hopefully, you are surrounded by woodworking pieces you were both involved in and have the memories of how they came into being. I can imagine you getting a wry smile when you look at some of them. Any memories that are appropriate to share with us? Pics and anecdotes?

My thoughts are with you at this time.

God shall take care of him now so you need not worry.

Please Kerry dont be ashamed to proud or whatever to ask for help if you need it okay? Theres a whole mob of us fellas who will have no problem whatever to head up there and give you a hand with anything if you need it... okay? I feel pretty confident that I can get hold of John Saxton and Ramps (both down the road from me in Bunbury) and head up there any weekend that you need us to help out... theres another bloke I can tap into up in Preston Beach and Scottyks in Spearwood were all nice married chaps so just give us a hoi if you need anything alright?

DONT STOP YOURSELF FROM ASKING FOR HELP IF YOU NEED IT!! You dont need to "battle on"... You have mates here call on us... please?

I'm sure that you beloved would only want you to carry on with what you both enjoyed, may be it 'll bring you some peace and you may feel close to him.

Kerry, how terribly sad for you, such a loss. And the hard bit is that time really is the only healer. I hope you can take a lot of comfort in knowing that every woodie that reads this thread, will have you in his/her thoughts over the coming months. Like you say, there are no strangers, only friends you have yet to meet. You are among friends here.
