WorkShop Plans
Hello Everyone. I am new to this forum and I have a simple question about building a workshop. Does anyone know where I can get FREE plans to build a workshop? I am going to build one that is about 20' x 26'. Or atleast somewhere in that size. Anyones help would be appreciated. Thanks

Workshop plans? Do you mean placement of tools? Because if you do it is really hard to give advice or follow plans as peoples machinery varies in quantity and size. Just figure out what works for you. Make the workshop flow. Your dusty needs to be accessible to lathe, saw bench, bandsaw, yadda yadda yadda.
If you mean plans the actual building itself look at your local suppliers online.
If you want it bad enough you will get it together.

Jaxbrian,
I'm guessing that anything you build there would have to meet your building codes. Although as they're called the "universal" building codes (as told by an uncle who was an architect in Ohio) I guess everyone should be singing from your hymn book ;) :p . Seriously though, most forumites here are in Australia and our codes and methods would differ from yours. Plus, if your system is anything like ours, it's just not possible to have generic plans for a certain size or type of building. Things like choice of materials, local wind category rating, size and placement of openings will all impact on the strength requirements of the building. Open your local phone book and see if there are any companies specialising in kit buildings as this will probab;y be your cheapest option and a good starting place.
