you could start with your local council. Our here starts off about $120.00 per week for a 3 metre bin.
You'll probably have to stand guard over it all night to stop the neighbours from filling it up.
Get the local paper out and look in the classified section and ring around. I got a 6 m3 for $220 incl the permit and he took heavy loads and mine was full of concrete...the range was from $220 - $350...
We have a permenant one and costs us $10 per week for a 1.5 cub M.
Al :p
Apart from the bin hire cost you will have to pay for a council permit if it is on the nature strip or road. Our council charges $ 30 which is collected for them by the bin hire company.
So if you can have the bin placed on your property.

Not long completed the huge extension, which also involved cutting into a tile roof and joining a gal roof onto it. Hired a 10 cubic metre bin and emptied it twice - total cost $850. They charged $150.00 for the bin, $10.00 a week hire, and then the tip charge $50.00 a ton when it is emptied. Still don't know if was worth it, but heck I got rid of a heap of my own junk as well as the builder's junk and heaps of broken tiles and it sure saved a bucket of time (and money I guess) as I started out thinking I might be able to trailer away all the building junk, etc. So, probably was worth it in the long run.
