My neighbours willow tree has blocked my sewerage lines and it cost me $400 to clear them. I have been advised that next time it happens, to chop into the roots and inject them with Torden. Is this a good idea, and how does one actualy do it?

There is a product that you can get called Rootox,Rootex?
And it will kill the tree just by flushing it down the drain.

Send him the bill. It's your neighbours liability. Still whack the Rootex down the drain. Willows will continue to damage your drains, paths, foundations and suck all your moisture out of the yard.
I wish I'da had invasive roots when I was younger....
Yep send them the bill and kill the tree damn good idea as it will only keep coming back.
Is weeping willow timber usefull ?

I dunno!..Killing someone's tree sounds like the start of a neighbor war to me. I wouldn’t do it. <O:p
A friend's neighbour planted a tree next to the fence and over time the roots lifted her pavers. The neighbour refused to do any thing about it so when I pulled up the pavers to cut back the roots back to the boundary I drilled a 10mm hole in the largest root and topped it up a few times with round-up.
End of problem.
