Trying to find a book??

Hi all

I’m trying to find a book that I read years ago.(1982ish??)
It’s based on a true story,
It is set in South Africa and what was then Rhodesia?
It’s about rich people going to S-Africa on hunting safaris.
They fly across the border and shoot the local worriers out of helicopters,
trying to make the hunt last as long as possible, basically run the
tribesman into the ground before killing them.
I have no idea of the Author or book title so any help would be
appreciated.

Rings a bell, but no idea of the title. Was it by Paul Galico?
