Concrete slab
Hi all,
we are renovating our Calif Bungalow. We would like the Baltic Pine floor to carry throughout the renovated area which is currently tiles over a concrete slab. IF we are to do this, it looks like the concrete slab(from a previous renovation) will have to be removed. At this point not sure how thick it is. Can anyone recommend (cammeray/nth sydney), who I could get to quote for this break up and removal of concrete slab? If neccessary, I can remove once broken up. Need to get this done as cost effectively as possible..obviously. Appreciate any direction offered.
cheers

Hire a kanga and do it your self it will be cheaper then getting a tradesman in!

How big is the slab? as you will also have to pay tip fees to get rid off it. A bobcat and tip truck hire person will do it for you and they should be able to take the concrete to a recycling plant which will reduce the tip fees. Also you might have to get the concrete cut first as there could be reinforcement in it.

Sorry guys i forgot you live in major cities (city slickers) we dont have fancy concrete recycling centres in the bush so get a mini skip or 2 and hire a cutter so easy to do give a go!
