hi all,just bought 100m3 of blackbutt and need to stack it in the house.The boards are loose and i know they need to be off the ground but how high can i stack them and should i put something heavy on top to stop any boards from cupping or twisting,thanks.Also i live in mindarie,perth and wondered if anyone had someone they would recommend to lay the floor for us or perhaps more importantly who to avoid!,thanks again
I'll assume you dont know about stacking flooring, you have to stack it so every layer has a gap between it for air flow. Use the short lengths for this by laying them perpendicular to the length of the stack & say at every metre or so. Blackbutt is a fairly unstable timber so make sure it gets some time to aclimatise, & to be sure use a moisture meter to check the content (from 10 - 15%) Have a look at this site

Not if it is dried and machined correctly in the first place.
