Leaky verandah

Now that I know how to post pictures, I'll tell you my main problem. Ours is a kit home and when the roofers finished they told me I only needed to drill some 3/8 in holes in the top guttering and the water would run down the bullnose. Water came behind the guttering and onto the verandah. Solution- drill bigger holes. Water still runs down behind the top gutter in a storm in about 5 places.
Does the top gutter need one (or more) of those cylindrical downpipes running onto the bullnose with a corresponding mega hole in the top guttering?
In the pictures you can see that the top guttering sits right on the bullnose. I think that's part of the problem, but that was in the design.
Picture number 2 shown underneath the bullnose where the rain runs down from the top corner down the window (thankfully on the outside of the house).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Usually the top gutter has droppers with short downpipes and a spreader (A "T" shaped piece of pipe with large holes cut in it). Obviously this is not possible with your roof. I'd be cutting a dropper into the front of the gutter, as close to the bottom as possible with a spreader attached to it. Possibly even one at each end.

let me get this straight when the roofers had finished they said YOU have to drill some holes. I think providing a water tight roof is part of a roofers contract.

Apart from the lack of spreaders as mick pointed out the problem is this:

Quad gutter is designed such that the front is lower than the back so in the event of very heavy rain water will over flow from the front of the gutter and not the back and into the house.

In a situation like yours where there possibly isn't enough space to fit the gutter the roofer will somtimes incorrectly cut the back of the gutter down so it will fit, making it lower than the front or force it in thus also making the front of the gutter sit higher than the back.

One solution is to remove the gutter and loosen the sheets. Then slide and additional L flashing under the top roof sheets with the bottom leg sitting between the existing apron flashing and the gutter. Re-install the gutter and fit down pipe speaders. (I will attempt to post a picture though I'm not real good at pictures yet either)

Thank you for the advice. Because of the design of the house, the guttering went on before the roof sheets, and so it can't be removed. Under the gutter there is flashing (guess it's called L flashing) which rests on the bullnose sheets. I attached the flashing and then the gutter braces and then the guttering. The roofers then came in and laid the roof sheets.
The problem I see is that the water can not get away fast enough in a storm. Don't know whether it actually overflows because I don't go out and look. I am thinking of making a few mega holes in that guttering and see how that goes.

the gutter is overflowing, It is overflowing at the back. thats what the leak is. For one reason or another the back is lower than the front may be the hip capping on the verander roof is pushing it up.

You've got different quad gutter than what we have down south julianx. All ours is higher at the front to cover the ends of the sheets.
Whatever is causing it Carry Pine, once you touch it the responsibility then becomes yours. I'd be getting the guttering plumber back to install the correct spreaders. (He may have left them out until the sheets were installed.)

You'll proberly find that the storm blows the water up under your gutter but i make my own water spreaders its so easy to do give it a go.
