Fast delivery from Timbercon
I know Timbercon has copped a fare bit of flack from this forum over poor delivery times, I myself have waited once for 6 weeks, but they have just blown me away. Placed my order over the internet on Sunday night, came home Tuesday and there it was.
What ever they have done to improve their service, it seems to have worked - well done guys.
Poor service from Timbecon
I recently purchased a Torquata dovetail jig at the Sydney Show from Timbecon. They were unable to supply the Router bit on the day. No problem it would be mailed within a few days. Arrives home with the Jig, no instructions supplied. Contacted Timbecon by Email. 2 replies within 2 days from different people, both apologising and looking into the problem. 11 days later no bit and no instructions. I contacted them again. A reply within 1 day from another person, he had attached the instructions as a PDF file. Great, this could have been done after the first message, by the way no mention of the Router bit. I now know how to use it but cannot because I do not have the bit. This is my third problem with deliveries from Timbecon, you would think that I would have learned by now.

Timbecon Service Improving
It is my pleasure to report some great service from Timbecon last week too. A problem with a switch on a Bandsaw was pleasantly sorted out within 30 minutes.
I agree with previous posts that providing customers with additional information would take it to the next level. (ie stock levels and shipping progress.)
