I have some adjustable plastic cabinet legs.
They are hidden under the cabinet with a kick board.
They come in two parts.
The base plate which is fixed to the bottom of the cabinet and the leg which sits on the ground.
The round base at the bottom of the leg does not sit flush with the ground.
It has a centre circle which sits above the rest of the base.
Is this design this way to make levelling easier?
Any guidance would be great.

I have 50 of them.
Of the 25 I have used so far all have that little circle on the base of the leg making it stand proud.
That circle base is about 50mm in diameter.
The little circle underneath which stands proud is the size of 10 cents.
I asked the sales assistance but they didn't know.

I've just had a look at my Hettich legs and none of them have a protruding ring as you have described. Maybe you have been given something else?

You have just destroyed my weekend.
So to confirm the leg in picture sits squarely [all be it round] and firmly on the ground?
I had planned to finish the cabinets off and install them.
I believe murphy's law was just written for me.
Considering I purchased them from Canberra Nover I just assumed they were Hettich as they are the only ones listed on line.
The good news is the Canberra store just closed today.:rolleyes:
There goes $100 bucks and I should speak to Lincoln sentry.

Well then, I wouldn't worry about it too much. The load acting upon the legs is vertical and it doesn't really matter how wide your adjustable feet are. The legs could be pinpoint and it still wouldn't matter. Your legs will still work! (though it is confusing if this is your first time).
Come to think of it, it will be easier to wind your feet up and down as there is less surface area in contact with the floor.
Once your base cabinets are screwed to each other then into the wall, nothing is going to move them.

My only concern was they add pressure to certain parts of the leg, the pressure is not dispersed as if it was flat.
Hence it could break.
But I agree it will make adjustments easier.

the ones I get have a hollow in the centre bottom of the leg. Like Renomart says, it shouldn't matter as the load is vertical anyway. I've seen a fully loaded bus supported on 6 upturned wine glasses, so I'm sure that your cabinets will be fine.

I was always under the impression that those big knurled plates were to make adjustment more easy when trying to level the back leg of that 2400 high 1000 x 1000 corner pantry you just put up...*grin*...but I am pretty sure most suppliers feet have the same ring/hollow core axle setup. There is often a hole in the side of the plate into which a screwdriver or similar can be inserted to wind the feet up once in place.
All the load goes straight down; which is good news for your legs but bad news for your wooden floors if you are assembling these cabinets in your lounge room - be careful on soft floors.... also watch out you don't break the legs off turning the cabinets over after you have knocked the feet in. A brick covered in a towel is perfect for those aforementioned 2400's.
