Table for a bench saw idea

Bit of a long back story
I needed a table saw for cutting large panels, so I bought a used Triton on Facebay.
Set it up and the old Makita 235 died. A short while ago my builder mate and neighbor "The Duffman" dropped off an almost new Makita table saw his well heeled brother was tossing out after finishing his renovations. A freebie for me
I haven't been able to sell the used Triton so I thought that; perhaps; I could drop the table down to the lower level and put the Makita on it.

If I do this it might be a tad too tall perhaps but asking for peoples opinions before I get the steel saw out and cut 50mm off the Triton legs

Not really sure of the objective here (other than "put the Makita on a stand"). If it's too high removing 50mm, can't you remove more from the Triton legs? Maybe the legs will be unstable if shorter? Photo? There's probably a simpler solution.

Maybe the Triton would be more saleable with a saw in it?

The model of Triton saw bench would be pertinent as to whether one would easily cut it down, or keep it original and eventually move it on.

If it is a Mk3 or earlier, then cutting the legs is probably a no brainer, but if it is the 2000 model, then I wouldn't.

But that is me.

I personally have the 2000 Triton with every accessory and when set-up correctly, it is a humdinger of a machine. Prior to that I had the Mk3 Triton saw bench which I bought when they were released. The difference is chalk and cheese and in general you will find it difficult to sell or give away the Mk3 units.

Maybe if you built a 50mm high duck board around the saw bench, this could be a quick option of finding out if the 50mm difference is correct?
