Speaking of Beers

At a world brewing convention in the States, the CEO's of various brewing
organizations retired to the bar at the end of the first day's conference.

Bruce, CEO of Fosters, shouted to the barman: "In 'Strilya, we make the
best bladdy beer in the world, so pour me a bladdy Fosters, mate."

Bob, CEO of Budweiser, calls out next: "In the States, we brew the finest
beers of the world, and I make the king of them all, gimme a Bud."

Hans steps up next: "In Germany ve invented das beer, ferdamt. Give me
ein Becks, ya ist der real King of beers, danke."

Paddy, CEO of Guinness, steps forward: "Barman, would ya give me a diet
Coke wit ice and lemon. Tanks."

The others stare at him in stunned silence, amazement written all over
their faces.

Eventually Bruce asks: "Are you not going to have a Guinness, Pat?"

Paddy replies "Well, if you fookin' pansies aren't drinkin', then neither
am I!"

Yep, I tried it once, great export beer:D :D :D :D

I remember a time quite a few years ago and quite a few kliks away,when Fosters was the only game in town at the time. Bloody hell it tasted good.

Me too.

Back in the 'Ol Country in the early 70's was one of the few good libations synonymous with Oz that was available and in the old pint cans...mmmmm:p :p :p

I was flying from wagga wagga to sydney in 1977. the hostess asked if i wanted a drink. I asked what sort of beer they had. She said Resches or Courage. i replied "sorry you must have misunderstood, i asked what sort of beer you have"!!!!!

Settled for a crap glass of scotch with ice

The ratio of 300 to one is a bit hard to fathom. How could any establishment surrive with only 300 potential customers and half of them probably not of legal age.

Yep. In the eighties, the only Aussie beer to be had was Fosters. Wasn't bad either :D (only took about ten to get used to the taste :eek: :D )

Rubbish!!! There's nothing wrong with it. I've been drinking it for years and prefer it to almost anything except possibly a Crownie. Mind you, I will admit that no one pinches them at BBQ's.:D

If I recall correctly they used to call it Blue Thunder
& the next day it was Brown Thunder:eek:
