G,day all.
Hi there, my name is Matt from Hobart and I would like to try my hand at some woodworking. I have been lurking on the forum for maybe 10 years or so but either never had the time or the money to take up woodworking, now I think I will just jump in and see what happens. I like wood, all wood, even old pallets so that's hopefully gonna keep the costs down. I have a motley assortment of tools, some new Japanese saws, some old wooden planes and everything in between. I also have a bench thats "nearly finished." that I built from some recycled timbers from the local tip.(tip to newbies like me-don't build a bench from whatever's cheap and then expect it to be flat.....)So Yeah, hello :U

You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
