A Decking question

I would love some feedback on a deck I am currently building. My query is should the decking boards be primed underneath ( I have primed the joists ). I am using Merbau and the deck is 1.2m off the ground and attached to an inground pool.
I intend coating the deck with a Wood-Mans product after it has weathered for 4 months.
Also could you let me know what you would coat the ends with.

we have coated all 4 sides for a job in order to try and stop the leaching of the timber, we coated all the faces laid the deck then re-coated the top. leaching still occured but not as bad.
