Advice Needed: Choosing Wood Conditioner for pine Board Staining Project

Hello everyone, I'm preparing to paint pine boards using Rubio Monocat Precolor Easy Black, a water-based product. Afterward, I plan to apply Rubio Monocat Oil 2C Plus as an oil-based finishing coat. Since the boards are mode of pine, I would like to pre-treat them with Minwax Pre-Stain Wood Conditioner. However, I am uncertain about whether to opt for the water-based version or the oil-based version. This uncertainty arises because the coloring will be done with a water-based product, while the final coating will be accomplished using an oil-based product. Could you kindly advise me on which option to purchase?
