Got 4 barstools. And got some ideas, but open for advice and suggestions on how to get those back to be used once again.

Everything is possible, but only you can decide if it is worth the investment in time and money. I have 4 Ikea bar stools and they are cheap and dare I say kid's proof.
Maybe you can try the embellishment treatment pedalled in the previous post? :U
