G'day. I'm Tony, retired in the UK and have discovered the joys of working with wood.
Long story short, I started a family late on life and it wasn’t long before requests for shelves, bookcases and the like prompted me to pull myself away from my life long passion for electronics (I am a retired electronics engineer) and purchase a few essential woodworking tools.
After 5 years in retirement I now have a reasonable collection of tools that allow me to prepare timber for most of my needs but I definitely lack the skills and experience of many of the contributors that I view on the internet. Looking back though, I can see a definite improvement in the pieces I produce now compared to my earlier attempts, so there is some hope.
